Hi, I am Barbara Jean Militello, "Divergirl", and I welcome you to my web site and the incredible, wonderful world of scuba diving!  I am a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and have been instructing for 17 years.  I offer instruction & certifications, as well as Divemaster services.  In addition, I organize and offer dive travel to the lovely outer Islands of the Bahamas.  You can begin your dive class in Florida and become certified in the Bahamas.  You can begin your dive class in another state and complete your certification in Florida.  There are many options available for you to become a certified scuba diver and I am pleased to be able to offer you those choices. 

You will note on the menu of classes and services, there is a listing for "REFERRALS" and that is because there are many dive students who tend to complete their academic and pool sessions in the state & city of their residence and then, decide to come to Florida to do the 4 required open water dives which completes the Open Water Scuba Diver certification.  I wish I had known this way back when as I completed my open water dives in a murky, cold, spring fed quarry in upstate New York.  There is nothing like the warm, blue waters of the ocean!
